AI - what's next? April 2 2026
I decided to leave Nethermind and abort ResultAI project. Why? 3 reasons:
- We built in 1.5 months with 1 dev a similar solution but slightly improved. So why need a team?
- Ofc because its now easier 2 other teams built similar solutions and launched 2 weeks after us with even more features and open sourced them. The dissemination of AI related news and projects is super fast, and if you want to build a product that wins you have to: be fast, work hard, and have a novel idea - and ofc that does not guarantee success - but gives you a chance. by work hard I mean >60hrs/week; by fast I mean time to market measured in weeks not months.
- I couldnt figure out the idea for the right niche (professional services is not the best with HR/backoffice as they are challenged currently more in GTM/sales). However I believe time is very good to start as 1-2 people a services company that simply helps other companies in one industry adopt current AI/LLM based tools (and while doing that builds its internal platform for it -> something like Palantir just for SMBs in specific niche).
However I did not back out from AI themes. This is what I built in last week:
- Non-profit refugee management system, based off my recent volunteer experience, demoing to one organization soon
- Ditched a financial tracking excel for an automated Claude code based solution - thats much faster, more elegant and takes less time (almost 0) to maintain
- Built quickly an interactive way for my son to learn and quizz material for school instead of going through pages and pages. he writes or says the response, LLM gives him scoring explaining whats true whats not or missing. a simple but effective exam prep tool.
- Did a non-trivial tax statement to tax authorities - still needs human accountant signature, and some business decisions, but the LLM got us there 95% of the way!! And 99.9% of tax accountants are not using it that way!
The pace of change is astonishing. Software is now a commodity, and your thoughts get realized faster then ever.
We went from punch cards, to keyboard to voice controlled tool enabled intelligent agents.. thats a way bigger upgrade in terms of human-machine interface then it looks like on surface.
